Meta Ads Foundations II
Slides for this lesson please review as I have a key video in this slideshow for setting up your metric menu as well as sharing how to create your lookalike audiences.
Creating an ad to grow your Instagram following. Duping the Instagram Boost tool in Ads Manager! This is a cold reach ad, which means we are working on growing your followers as well as getting your content in front of people who are most likely to follow/ book now or in the future.
For these types of ads, you will usually have 2-3 top-performing posts as your ad creatives. I would recommend having 1-2 core ad sets and 2-3 ads per ad set. These can be your most recent popular posts. Reels do very well here. If you have an educational Reel of you talking, that would be a great ad to include.
Let’s move into creating a conversion-based ad! But first, we have to set up our custom event!
Let’s move into creating a conversion-based ad!
The first step in creating your campaign is choosing an objective.
You know when you click on Create an ad and you see these options. For the follower-growth ad we broke down earlier, we selected Traffic because we wanted Meta to find people who were likely to click through and visit our Instagram profile. Our audience and location settings helped control who the ad could reach.
Now our goal is different, so we need to be more specific with our objective. We want people to complete an online booking, which is why we are selecting Sales.
A Sales campaign allows us to tell Meta to optimize for the “Fall Facial Promo Booking” event we just created. Meta will then look for people within our selected audience who are more likely to complete that booking action.
This setup works best when someone can click the ad, learn about the promotion and book their appointment online. If your goal is to collect someone’s information, have them request a consultation or follow up with them before they book, a Leads campaign may be more appropriate. I’ll show you how to create that type of campaign after we finish setting up this sales ad.
