Spooky Season Content Ideas for Estheticians, Waxers & Aesthetic Injectors

October is the perfect time to have a little fun with your social media marketing! From Halloween-inspired skincare graphics to relatable treatment room humour, spooky season gives estheticians, waxers, and aesthetic injectors an opportunity to create content that feels timely, engaging, and a little different from their usual posts.

But here's something I always remind my community: seasonal content should still have a purpose.

Whether you're looking to increase engagement, build trust, or encourage clients to book before the holiday rush, your Halloween content can do more than simply look cute on your Instagram feed.

Here are a few ways to bring some spooky season energy into your esthetician marketing and spa marketing strategy this October.

1. Give your treatment content a Halloween twist

You don't need to completely change your content strategy to participate in seasonal trends. Sometimes, all it takes is a clever headline and a familiar Halloween visual.

Inside the Esti Content Club, I've been adding Halloween-inspired graphics that combine skincare education, treatment reminders, and playful seasonal messaging.

A few of my favourites include:

  • "Witch way to smoother-looking skin?" A playful way to introduce exfoliating products or professional skincare treatments.

  • "Your skin is unique. Your potion should be, too." A reminder that skincare routines should be personalized rather than copied from someone else's shelf.

  • "No tricks here. Just some really, really, really good skincare." A fun way to highlight your favourite professional products.

  • "Your reminder to book in with your injector... no words needed." A pumpkin-themed appointment reminder that keeps the message lighthearted.

These types of posts work because they combine something seasonal and entertaining with a message that is still relevant to your services.

2. Use spooky season to address client hesitations

One of my favourite approaches to esthetician marketing is creating content around the thoughts and feelings clients experience before booking.

Halloween gives you a creative way to talk about common concerns without making your audience feel pressured.

For example, a first-time waxing client might be nervous about discomfort, while someone considering aesthetic injectables might feel unsure about what happens during a consultation.

Try creating posts around these topics:

  • Estheticians: "Your first facial shouldn't feel like a horror movie."

  • Waxers: "Scared to book your first Brazilian? Let's talk about it."

  • Aesthetic injectors: "Considering injectables? Let's take the mystery out of your consultation."

Use your captions to explain what clients can expect, address common misconceptions, and show how your approach helps them feel comfortable and informed.

Remember, the goal isn't to convince someone they need a treatment. It's to help them feel confident making a decision that's right for them.

3. Create content that encourages bookings without being pushy

Not every promotional post needs to mention limited availability or tell clients to book immediately.

Sometimes a gentle reminder is enough to bring your business back to the top of someone's mind.

One of the Halloween graphics I created for the Esti Content Club uses two pumpkins to illustrate the difference between booking when your skin starts feeling a little off and waiting until it feels like it's really struggling.

The message? Your skin doesn't have to be struggling to deserve a little attention.

This is a great example of using sales psychology to encourage preventative care and regular appointments rather than waiting until a concern becomes frustrating.

Waxers can use a similar approach to discuss maintaining a consistent waxing schedule, while aesthetic injectors can create content around planning ahead for consultations and upcoming events.

These reminders can be especially relevant in October as clients begin thinking about their November and December schedules.

4. Mix educational posts with community-building content

While educational content helps demonstrate your expertise, community-building content gives your audience a reason to connect with your brand on a more personal level.

And Halloween is the perfect excuse to have a little fun!

Think about the relatable experiences your clients share, from buying another skincare product they probably don't need to remembering they still haven't scheduled their next appointment.

Try a few of these Halloween-inspired post ideas:

  • "The only thing haunting me this October is the appointment I keep forgetting to book."

  • "My toxic trait? Thinking one more skincare product will complete my routine."

  • "Things that haunt your waxer: Shaving between appointments."

  • "Skincare myths that need to be put to rest."

These posts can encourage shares, saves, and conversations while helping your audience feel more connected to your business.

And that connection matters. When clients feel familiar with your personality and approach, your business becomes easier to remember when they're ready to book.

Make your October content fun and strategic

If there's one thing I want you to remember this spooky season, it's that your content doesn't always have to be serious to be strategic.

A clever Halloween graphic can educate your audience, a relatable Reel can introduce your business to new potential clients, and a simple appointment reminder can encourage someone who's been meaning to book to finally check their calendar.

The key is connecting your seasonal content to your clients' interests, concerns, and experiences.
