Spa and Skincare Trend - Sustainable Beauty Products

When looking at weekly trends for my content packages a consistently searched topic is sustainable products. The beauty industry is reliant on fossil fuels, water use and plastic waste. This week I read a great article in Allure magazine discussing sustainable beauty products. The product that caught my attention gaining ground is bar soaps, shampoos, pressed face washes and serums.

Know that reducing their carbon footprint is on the minds of your community so grab their attention with your next Reel!

So how can an Esthetician work this topic into their Educational Reels? Here are 3 video ideas:

    1. Make a video about that elephant in the room:

Discuss the topic of sustainable beauty and beauty products. Get your audience to engage with poll questions and stickers. Don’t forget responding to comments keeps you engaged with your community. Discuss how you would like to improve, be authentic with your challenges for beauty sustainability.

    2. Make a Reel to promote your treatments:

Of course now is the time to promote treatments you offer. Are your treatments using raw ingredients, local ingredients, reduced packaging, packaging that can be recycled. Encourage your community to simplify their beauty routine with your expertise.

    3. Create an educational video discussing a sustainable product like bar soaps and pressed serums.

Discuss your thoughts on these products. Have you used them? then share your experience.
