What's Trending in Aesthetics July 2026 Weeks 1-2

Hey! If you commented TRENDS, welcome. Here's everything from this week's roundup in one place, plus a few resources to help you actually put it to use. Scroll to the end for more free marketing resources for aesthetic pros!

Google Search Trends

Simple hydrating light moisturizer is up 80% in search interest over the last 30 days. Clients are done with heavy summer creams. This is your cue to talk about lightweight, breathable hydration that won't clog pores in the heat, whether that's in a post, a story, or at the front desk.

EltaMD skincare is up a massive 1900% in search. Not because it's trending, but because it's in short supply. Canadian distribution has been interrupted, and retailers currently have no timeline for when stock will be back. If you carry EltaMD, a quick heads-up post can save clients a wasted trip. If you're out or don't carry it, this is a good opening to introduce them to a mineral SPF you do have on hand.

Acne around the mouth and chin is up 80%. Chin and jawline breakouts, hormonal acne, "chin strap acne," clients are trying to self-diagnose all of it online right now. That's your opening to be the trusted answer before a Reddit thread becomes their skincare routine.

PDRN serum is up 500%. Also known as salmon DNA serum, PDRN is exploding out of K-beauty and into mainstream search. If you carry a PDRN-based product or treatment, clients are already looking for someone to explain what it does. If you don't, expect the question anyway.

Google Shopping Trends (High Intent Searches)

‍Search interest shows what's on people's minds; sometimes that's curiosity, sometimes it's urgency, like the EltaMD searches above. Google Shopping searches narrow that down further: this is people actively comparing products and getting ready to click "buy now." Here's what's spiking there:

  • Tinted mineral SPF 50 — up 1250%

  • Peptide lip gloss / peptide lip oil — up 120%

  • AHA/BHA body wash — up 26%

  • Hypochlorous acid spray — up 90%

‍ ‍

If you carry any of these categories, this is bottom-of-funnel buyer intent. Posting about them this week isn't just timely, it's timed to when people are actually ready to purchase.
